My name is Joanna Wrobel and I am the ELL teacher at Olive-Mary Stitt School. As I begin this school year, I start in on my 11th year here at Olive-Mary Stitt School. Prior to this, I taught first grade at Olive for eight years. I am truly excited to be back for another school year and I look forward to this year with great anticipation and enthusiasm!
Before my teaching
career began, I attended Northeastern Illinois University where I received my
Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Reading
and English as a Second Language (ESL). I consider myself a life-long learner
and I like to be involved in different professional development opportunities.
Aside from my passion
for teaching, I am very family-oriented. I was raised in a Polish household,
and I still maintain many customs and traditions of my heritage. I have a
strong relationship with my parents and I love spending time with them as well
as my older brother. I also enjoy spending time with my friends, going to
concerts, trying new restaurants, and going to the movies.
